Hilton Garden Inn China Expansion Adds More Than 2,000 Rooms
Hilton Garden Inn China Strengthens Presence Across Business and Leisure Destinations
Hilton has announced plans to add more than 2,000 new Hilton Garden Inn rooms in China through a series of new hotel signings across key business centres and emerging leisure destinations.
The agreements were secured during the Hilton Garden Inn Investment Summit in China and reflect the brand’s continued development across major cities, including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen, as well as expansion into tourism-focused destinations.
According to Hilton, the Hilton Garden Inn brand recorded 100 hotel signings across China in 2025, covering both business and leisure markets. The growth has been supported by the rollout of Hilton Garden Inn Gen A, a hotel concept developed specifically for the Chinese market.
Commenting on the expansion, Nong Xia, President of Development, Greater China and Mongolia, Hilton, said the brand has continued to strengthen its position in China through localised development and product adaptation. He added that future growth will focus on both business and leisure travel segments across the country.
New Projects Across China
The latest signings include developments in major urban centres as well as tourism destinations.
In Beijing, Hilton Garden Inn Beijing Future Science City is scheduled to open in 2026 with 118 guestrooms, serving the city’s innovation and research district.
Hilton Garden Inn Guangzhou Huangpu Luogang Science City, also expected to open in 2026, will offer 138 guestrooms within one of Guangzhou’s key industrial and technology zones.
In Chengdu, Hilton Garden Inn Chengdu Tianfu Square Center is planned with 288 guestrooms and will be located close to the city’s commercial and cultural attractions.
Growth in Leisure Destinations
The expansion also includes new hotels in tourism-focused locations.
Hilton Garden Inn Lushan Scenic Area, expected to open in 2027, will feature 119 guestrooms and will be situated near Mount Lushan and Lulin Lake.
Meanwhile, Hilton Garden Inn Yichun Mingyueshan Wenquan Road is scheduled for completion in 2028 with 138 guestrooms, providing access to mountain landscapes and hot spring attractions in Jiangxi Province.
Continued Development Pipeline
The company currently has more than 350 operating and pipeline hotels across China. The company said it will continue to expand through a combination of business city developments, transport hubs and leisure destinations.
The brand’s growth strategy focuses on meeting demand from both domestic and international travellers while supporting hotel owners through Hilton’s commercial, revenue management and operational systems.
All new properties in China will participate in the Hilton Honors loyalty programme, providing members with access to booking benefits and digital services.
