Madarao Kogen Hotel – MGallery Collection: Tranquil Mountain Retreat

Located within the Japan Alps in northern Nagano Prefecture, Madarao Kogen Hotel – MGallery Collection will mark MGallery’s first property in this well-known snow region. The area, celebrated for its soft powder snow and diverse ski terrain, attracts visitors through all seasons.
The existing property will undergo a full renovation, with reopening planned for late 2027. The resort is expected to feature 80 guest rooms, including suites, designed to combine Alpine and Japanese design elements. Plans include multiple dining options, a lobby lounge, an off-site ski diner, and a pool bar. Facilities will also include conference spaces, onsen baths, shops, and ski rental services to support leisure and wellness experiences.
Lime Resort Myoko – MGallery Collection: Focus on Wellness and Nature

Situated near the base of Mt. Myoko, within Myoko-Togakushi Renzan National Park, Lime Resort Myoko – MGallery Collection will offer a wellness-oriented experience. The property will be renovated and is scheduled to open by Winter 2026, featuring 38 guest rooms, dining outlets, a lounge café and bar, onsen facilities, fitness areas, and a kids club.
Connected Experiences
The two resorts are located about 30 minutes apart and will be linked by a shuttle service, allowing convenient access between both properties and Patience Capital Group’s nearby leisure assets, such as Myoko Suginohara Ski Resort and Nagano Dunes Golf Club. The region also offers access to natural and cultural attractions, including Togakushi Shrine, Naenataki Falls, and Jigokudani Snow Monkey Park.
Sustainable Development and Shared Vision
Renovation plans for both resorts emphasize the use of local materials, energy-efficient technology, and designs that align with the natural surroundings.
“Our partnership with Accor reflects a shared belief in the long-term growth of mountain tourism in Japan. Together, we aim to develop Myoko and Madarao into established four-season destinations that bring together nature, culture, and hospitality,” — Ken Chan, Founder, CEO and CIO, Patience Capital Group.
“Following the opening of our first MGallery in Sapporo last year, these new additions in Myoko and Madarao strengthen our presence in Japan. They reflect MGallery’s approach to creating hotels that are connected to place, people, and culture,”— Xavier Grange, Chief Development Officer, Sofitel Legend, Sofitel, MGallery & Emblems.
MGallery in Asia Pacific
With over 120 hotels globally, MGallery continues to expand in distinctive destinations. The signings of Madarao Kogen Hotel and Lime Resort Myoko represent the second and third MGallery properties in Japan, joining Hôtel Sosei Sapporo – MGallery Collection, which opened in 2024. The brand currently operates 38 hotels across Asia Pacific and China, representing 39% of its network.
