Malaysia Airlines Enhances South India Access with Daily Trivandrum Flights
Malaysia Airlines is expanding its operations in South India with increased connectivity to Trivandrum. Starting 12 September 2025, the airline will operate five weekly flights on the route, increasing to daily service from 1 December 2025.
The move reflects growing demand since the route’s initial launch in November 2023, which progressed from two to four weekly flights by April 2024. The increased frequency supports rising business and leisure travel between India and Malaysia.
Aligned with the ‘Look East’ initiative, Malaysia Airlines has partnered with Kerala Tourism to promote travel between East Asia and the region. The expanded service also contributes to tourism and trade ties between the two countries.
With this addition, Malaysia Airlines will operate 76 weekly flights across ten Indian cities. Passengers can also access the Bonus Side Trip programme, which offers a complimentary domestic flight within Malaysia to explore destinations beyond Kuala Lumpur.
