Madhya Pradesh Day Celebrated at Statue of Unity during Bharat Parv 2025
On the occasion of the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Bharat Parv is being held from 1 to 15 November at the Statue of Unity, Ekta Nagar, Gujarat. On 11 November, the Madhya Pradesh Day was inaugurated by Hon’ble Governor Shri Mangubhai Patel. The event was attended by Deputy Chief Ministers Shri Jagdish Deora and Shri Rajendra Shukla, as well as Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Tourism and Culture, Shri Dharmendra Bhav Singh Lodhi.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri Dharmendra Bhav Singh Lodhi, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Tourism, Culture, and Religious Trusts & Endowments, said that the event reflects the spirit of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat, promoting unity in diversity and showcasing the cultural and tourism strengths of every state. As part of Bharat Parv, the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board has set up a theme pavilion covering around 25 square meters, presenting the state’s tourism, cultural heritage, and handicrafts.
The pavilion showcases destinations such as Sanchi, Khajuraho, Bhimbetka, Mandu, Orchha, Ujjain, and Omkareshwar, as well as national parks like Bandhavgarh, Kanha, and Pench. Traditional crafts and textiles, including Chanderi and Maheshwari fabrics, Bagh prints, Dhokra art, terracotta pottery, and Gond paintings, are also on display, reflecting the cultural and artistic traditions of Madhya Pradesh.
Shri Sheo Shekhar Shukla, Additional Chief Secretary, Tourism, Culture, Home, and Religious Trusts & Endowments, and Managing Director, Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board, said, “Bharat Parv represents India’s cultural harmony and diversity. Madhya Pradesh, often known as the ‘Heart of Incredible India,’ brings together heritage, art, and tradition that mirror the country’s cultural essence. Through this platform, we seek to connect visitors with the experiences, cuisine, and craftsmanship of Madhya Pradesh, and share the state’s spirit of culture and creativity.”
Studio Kitchen Highlights the Flavours of Madhya Pradesh
On 11 November, the Madhya Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation (MPSTDC) organized a Studio Kitchen presentation under the theme “Flavours from the Heart of India.” The session featured live demonstrations and tastings of regional dishes from across the state.
Visitors sampled traditional recipes such as Sannata, a buttermilk-based drink from Bundelkhand; Kangni Dal Shorba from Dindori; Thopa Bhutte Ki Kis from Chambal; Bedai Dumna Aloo from Sidhi; Matar Nimona with Plain Puri from Baghelkhand; and Kutki Kheer from Shahdol. The dishes reflected the regional diversity and culinary heritage of Madhya Pradesh.

Cultural Presentation – Amrutasya Madhya Pradesh
A dance performance titled “Amrutasya Madhya Pradesh” was presented by choreographer Maitryee Pahari and her troupe under the Department of Culture. The performance depicted the evolution of Madhya Pradesh’s civilization, devotion, and connection with nature.
The presentation journeyed through the prehistoric art of Bhimbetka, the architecture of Khajuraho and Orchha, the serenity of Sanchi, and the spiritual significance of Chitrakoot, Ujjain, and Omkareshwar. It also represented the natural landscapes of Bandhavgarh, Kanha, Pench, and the marble rocks of Jabalpur.
Performers dressed in Maheshwari, Chanderi, and Bagh print textiles showcased the region’s weaving and design traditions. The performance concluded with the Narmada Aarti, offering a reflection of Madhya Pradesh’s cultural identity and artistic expression.
