LXR Hotels & Resorts to Open Sandblu Santorini in 2026
Hilton and RMKA Private Company have announced the signing of Sandblu Santorini, marking the debut of LXR Hotels & Resorts in Greece. The property is scheduled to open in the summer of 2026 and will be part of a group of independent hotels known for their focus on guest experiences.
The signing comes at a time of continued growth for LXR Hotels & Resorts, with the collection nearing 40 properties operating or under development worldwide. Following the recent opening of SAX Paris and the ongoing expansion into additional European destinations, the brand continues to expand with properties offering unique cultural and design perspectives.
Nestled on the eastern slopes of Santorini, Sandblu is positioned above the Aegean Sea and the black sand beach of Kamari. Designed in the spirit of a Cycladic village, the property features 66 rooms and suites with stone exteriors, whitewashed elements, and contemporary finishes that reflect the island’s natural landscape.
The resort emphasizes indoor–outdoor living, with all rooms featuring private terraces overlooking either the pool or the sea. Nearly a third of the accommodations will include private pools, while three standalone villas offer a high level of privacy. A dedicated beach area provides direct access to the shoreline, complementing a range of wellness facilities that include two infinity pools, a spa with sauna and indoor pool, a two-storey fitness studio, and a yoga garden.
Dining will include a signature restaurant and an all-day venue designed by Rockwell Group, with a wine bar featuring selections from Santorini and the region. Families will have access to a dedicated kids’ club, and several retail boutiques will enhance the resort’s lifestyle offerings.

Feisal Jaffer, Global Head of LXR Hotels & Resorts, said: “Sandblu reflects the character of Santorini through a contemporary design approach. LXR focuses on properties with a clear sense of place, and this resort aligns with that vision in a setting shaped by the island’s landscape and culture.”

Leonidas Anagnostou, General Manager of Sandblu (RMKA Private Company), added: “We are pleased to collaborate with Hilton to bring the first LXR property to Greece. Our goal is to create a resort that reflects the essence of Santorini and offers guests a thoughtful and engaging experience. We look forward to beginning the transformation and welcoming guests in summer 2026.”

Located near Ancient Thira, the resort offers access to hiking trails and is a short distance from Kamari Beach. Sandblu is also conveniently positioned near Santorini International Airport and the port, providing links to major European destinations and the wider Cycladic islands.
