Emversity, an industry-focused skilling and talent development network in India, has announced a strategic partnership with Lemon Tree Hotels, a major mid-range hotel chain in the country. The collaboration aims to enhance skill development and address workforce requirements in India’s expanding hospitality sector.

As part of the partnership, students enrolled in Emversity’s NSDC-aligned Hotel Management Diploma Program will receive training and placement opportunities across Lemon Tree Hotels properties in multiple cities. The program follows a work-integrated learning model that combines structured classroom sessions with practical exposure in hotel operations.

Students will complete six months of classroom learning in their first semester, followed by 1.5 years of full-time internships in operational departments, including Front Office, Housekeeping, and Food & Beverage Service. This approach enables graduates to develop industry-aligned skills and gain hands-on experience before entering the workforce.

Mr. Rajesh Kumar, Senior Vice President – Human Resources, Lemon Tree Hotels, said: “At Lemon Tree Hotels, our approach has been to hire for attitude and train for skill. Many academic programs offer theoretical foundations but limited practical exposure, creating a gap between learning and workplace requirements. Emversity’s initiative helps reduce this gap by combining skill-based education with on-site training. With experiential learning and day-to-day operational engagement, we believe this partnership will support talent development across the hospitality sector.”

Mr. Vivek Sinha, Founder & CEO of Emversity, said: “This partnership with Lemon Tree Hotels aligns skilling with industry needs. By integrating Emversity’s work-based learning model with Lemon Tree’s operational framework, we aim to create a direct link between education and employment. The collaboration will provide young individuals with practical skills and real-world experience, supporting their career paths in hospitality.”

The partnership will begin with select Lemon Tree Hotels locations and is expected to expand to additional properties over time. Both organisations aim to contribute to India’s hospitality talent pipeline while creating livelihood opportunities for young professionals.
