Kimpton Debuts in Malaysia with the Opening of Kimpton Naluria Kuala Lumpur
Kimpton, part of IHG Hotels & Resorts, has entered the Malaysian market with the opening of Kimpton Naluria Kuala Lumpur. The hotel is owned by LQ Hotel Sdn Bhd, a joint venture between Lendlease and TRX City Sdn Bhd, and is located within the Tun Razak Exchange (TRX) district.

Kimpton Naluria Kuala Lumpur marks the brand’s first hotel in Malaysia, bringing its lifestyle-led approach to a destination that blends business, retail and urban culture. The property draws inspiration from the concepts of naluri (instinct) and ria (joy), reflected in its design, dining, and guest experiences, all rooted in the local context.
The hotel features 466 guestrooms and suites across 26 floors, positioned above The Exchange TRX mall. Rooms offer views of the city skyline, including Merdeka 118 and KL Tower. Interior design incorporates sculptural forms, abstract artwork inspired by Malaysian rainforests and locally influenced details. Guestrooms are equipped with bath amenities from ARgENTUM and Penhaligon’s, along with a minibar offering locally produced snacks and beverages.
The hotel’s interiors were designed by Hassell, following a theme described as “Botanics Beyond Aesthetics,” integrating natural elements, greenery and earthy tones throughout public spaces and guest areas.

Dining and social venues form a central part of the Kimpton experience at the hotel. These include Tuai + Till, a dual dining concept offering Malaysian café-style fare and Western brasserie dishes; Four Siblings, a spice-inspired rooftop bar influenced by historic trade routes; Rise & Grind, a grab-and-go café highlighting Liberica coffee beans; and Sabato’s, an Italian-American dining concept scheduled to open in early 2026.

Guests also have access to a range of brand-led experiences, including in-room yoga mats, complimentary bicycles and daily social programming such as morning refreshments and evening gatherings. Wellness facilities include a rooftop fitness terrace, instructor-led workout sessions, and a rooftop fitness centre called Pulse. The Connection Hub, opening in early 2026, will provide event and meeting spaces for smaller gatherings.

Commenting on the opening, Paul Cunningham, General Manager of Kimpton Naluria Kuala Lumpur, said the hotel aims to reflect Kimpton’s focus on individualised stays, design-driven spaces and guest interaction, while capturing the character of Kuala Lumpur.
Kimpton Naluria Kuala Lumpur joins a growing global portfolio of Kimpton hotels, alongside recent openings in Frankfurt, Riyadh, Hainan, Algarve and Hong Kong, with further properties planned in destinations including Bali.
