Nature Trails Expands to Goa with Launch of Rock Valley Resort in Ponda
As Indian travellers increasingly seek experience-led holidays, trips that combine nature, the outdoors and adventure are gaining stronger traction. In line with this shift, Nature Trails—Thomas Cook (India) Limited’s experiential hospitality brand—has expanded its portfolio with the launch of Nature Trails Rock Valley in Ponda, Goa. This marks the brand’s entry into Goa, adding to its existing resorts at Durshet, Sajan and Kundalika in Maharashtra.
Set in the foothills of the Western Ghats, the resort spans 15 acres across a valley. The property offers rooms designed to keep guests close to nature, each measuring over 250 sq ft, with private sit-out areas overlooking forests, a river and open farmland.
Key features include two infinity pools—one facing the valley and the other overlooking the river—along with an integrated adventure zone. Guests can participate in activities such as zip-lining, high- and low-rope courses, archery, target shooting, ATV rides, rappelling, and kayaking, supported by trained facilitators and guided by safety-focused sessions. Water-based activities like kayaking and boating on the Khandepar backwaters offer a slower way to explore the surrounding landscape.
The resort also includes an in-house spice farm, with guided walks that introduce guests to Goa’s spice cultivation, biodiversity and local ecology.
Nature Trails Rock Valley, Goa, also offers nature-based learning programs for school and college groups, featuring curated outdoor activities that combine adventure with environmental awareness and hands-on learning.
Stays are designed to be immersive, with all-inclusive dining featuring Goan dishes alongside Indian and global cuisine. Guests also have access to walking trails, common recreation spaces, children’s areas, and the property is pet-friendly.
For corporate groups, the resort offers multiple restaurants and a conference room for up to 120 guests, making it suitable for team-building off-sites, incentives and business gatherings.
Nature Trails Rock Valley is located approximately 1 hour from Dabolim Airport, 40 minutes from Madgaon Station, and 45 minutes from Colva Beach, making it accessible for family holidays, friends’ getaways, corporate off-sites, day picnics, and educational trips.

Mr. Mahesh Iyer, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Thomas Cook (India) Limited, said, “Nature Trails is Thomas Cook’s strategic investment to tap into India’s domestic travel opportunity by offering experience-led stays that blend nature, activity and adventure with local hospitality and flavour. Our expansion beyond Maharashtra into Goa was a natural next step, given Goa’s year-round appeal, connectivity and varied landscapes. We plan to open more Nature Trails resorts at other destinations soon.”
