New aircraft to support international expansion from April 2026

IndiGo will deploy its second Airbus A321XLR on the Delhi–Istanbul route from 19 April 2026, as part of its ongoing international network expansion.

The route is strategically important to the airline, offering onward connectivity to more than 50 international destinations through its codeshare partnership with Turkish Airlines.

Cabin configuration and onboard offering

For the first time on this route, IndiGo will introduce a dual-class configuration featuring:

  • 183 Economy seats
  • 12 IndiGoStretch seats, the airline’s business product

Passengers in both cabins will receive complimentary hot meals and beverages, with menus inspired by a mix of global and regional cuisines. Vegetarian meals will be served by default, while non-vegetarian options can be pre-booked.

Alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase in Economy or via pre-booking, and will be included for IndiGoStretch passengers.

The aircraft will also feature a digital inflight entertainment system, allowing passengers to stream films, television programmes, games and other content on their personal devices.

Fleet expansion and network growth

Earlier in 2026, IndiGo inducted the Airbus A321XLR into its fleet and introduced services to Athens. The aircraft type supports longer routes with improved fuel efficiency and extended range, enabling the airline to explore additional international markets.

Customers can book tickets through IndiGo’s website, mobile application or authorized travel partners. Additional services, such as meal selection, seat upgrades, and fare options like UpFront and Flexi, are also available.
