IndiGo & KLM Expand Codeshare to 30 European & UK Cities

IndiGo has announced an expanded codeshare agreement with KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, enhancing travel connectivity to 30 destinations across Europe and the UK. This expansion allows IndiGo to place its code on KLM-operated flights via Amsterdam, offering its customers more options for seamless international travel.

The agreement follows IndiGo’s launch of long-haul nonstop flights between Mumbai and Amsterdam using a damp-leased Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner from Norse Atlantic Airlines, marking a significant milestone in the airline’s international strategy.

This development also builds on the strategic Memorandum of Understanding signed during the 81st IATA AGM in June 2025 between IndiGo, KLM, Air France, Delta Air Lines, and Virgin Atlantic. The joint initiative aims to provide streamlined travel experiences across key global markets, including North America, the UK, Europe, and India.

The original IndiGo–KLM codeshare agreement, signed in 2022, gave KLM access to 24 cities in India. The latest expansion allows IndiGo customers to connect to 30 major destinations, including Paris, London, Berlin, Geneva, Madrid, Brussels, Helsinki, Oslo, Prague, and Stockholm.

Pieter Elbers, CEO of IndiGo, said:

Pieter Elbers

“At IndiGo, we are committed to offering seamless global connectivity as part of our broader internationalisation vision. This expanded partnership with KLM through Amsterdam, one of Europe’s busiest hubs, enhances convenience and travel options for our customers. It’s another step toward our goal of connecting India with more of the world and strengthening trade and tourism links with Europe.”

Marjan Rintel, CEO of KLM, added:

“This next step in our partnership with IndiGo enhances access for Indian travelers across Europe and the UK. With smooth connections through Amsterdam, customers now have even more flexibility and choice in their travel plans.”

Travel under the expanded agreement can be booked via IndiGo’s website and mobile app starting August 1, 2025, for journeys commencing August 11, 2025 (subject to regulatory approvals). Benefits include integrated itineraries and a streamlined check-in process for baggage, improving the overall travel experience.
