IHCL Signs New Taj Hotel in Mohali
Indian Hotels Company Limited (Indian Hotels Company) has announced the signing of a new Taj hotel in Mohali, Punjab. The project is being developed as a greenfield property.
The proposed Taj Mohali will have 225 rooms and is planned to offer views overlooking the surrounding green areas. Facilities are expected to include an all-day dining restaurant, a bar, and a specialty restaurant, along with leisure and wellness amenities such as a swimming pool, gym, health club, and the brand’s J Wellness Circle. The hotel will also feature more than 26,000 square feet of banqueting space, positioning it to cater to weddings, corporate events, and social functions.
Mohali, a planned city in Punjab, has seen steady growth as an IT and commercial hub and is home to a range of educational institutions and sports infrastructure. The city has also gained traction as a venue for large social events.
With this signing, IHCL’s presence in Punjab will increase to 14 hotels, including seven that are currently under development.

This, coupled with the state’s increasing appeal as a preferred destination for weddings and social events, aligns with our strategy to expand in such high-potential markets.”
