Gateway Resort Project in South Goa Strengthens IHCL Presence
IHCL has announced the signing of a new resort project in South Goa near Colva Beach. The greenfield development will operate under the Gateway brand and forms part of the company’s continued expansion in the state.
Suma Venkatesh, Executive Vice President, Real Estate and Development at IHCL, said Goa remains an important leisure destination for the company, and the project reflects its focus on expanding its hospitality portfolio in the region. She also highlighted the partnership with Dempo Business House for the development.
Spread across approximately 2.9 acres, the upcoming 175-key Gateway Resort Colva Beach Road, Goa, will offer views of Colva Beach and a range of guest facilities.

The property will include several dining options, including an all-day dining restaurant, a speciality restaurant, and a bar. Guests will also have access to a swimming pool, fitness centre and treatment rooms.
The resort will include a ballroom of around 7,000 sq ft along with outdoor lawn spaces, allowing the property to cater to weddings, social gatherings and corporate events.
Shrinivas V. Dempo, Chairman of the Dempo Group, said Goa continues to attract domestic and international travellers and expressed confidence in the collaboration with IHCL for the new development.
Goa continues to remain a significant tourism market, known for its beaches, architecture, cuisine and cultural experiences.
With this addition, IHCL’s portfolio in Goa will increase to 25 hotels, including seven properties currently under development.
