IHG Hotel Expansion Adds Five New Properties Across India
IHG Hotel Partnership with Adani Airport Holdings Supports Growth Plans
IHG Hotels & Resorts has announced a managed hotel portfolio agreement with Adani Airport Holdings to develop five hotels across India. The partnership will add nearly 1,500 keys across airport-led and gateway destinations, supporting IHG’s expansion plans in the country.
The portfolio includes a Kimpton hotel in Jaipur, along with Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express properties within upcoming mixed-use developments linked to Adani Airport cities. The hotels are planned across locations, including Navi Mumbai, Mangaluru and Thiruvananthapuram.
The agreement will also mark the introduction of Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants in India through the signing of Kimpton Jaipur. The brand is recognised for its boutique hospitality, design-focused properties, and dining experiences that reflect local culture and community connections.
Sudeep Jain, Managing Director, South West Asia, IHG Hotels & Resorts, said the partnership reflects growing opportunities across India’s hospitality market, particularly in airport-led developments and key travel hubs serving business, leisure and transit travellers.
Pranav Adani, Director at Adani Enterprises Limited, said the group’s strategy focuses on creating integrated destinations that combine travel, accommodation and urban experiences around the country’s growing aviation infrastructure. He added that collaborations with international hospitality brands support this long-term vision.
Adani Airport Holdings manages airports across India and continues to expand its focus beyond aviation operations through hospitality, retail and commercial developments linked to airport infrastructure.
IHG currently operates 52 hotels across six brands in India and has a pipeline of 98 additional properties expected to open over the next three to five years.
