IHCL Signs Agreement for 10 New Ginger Hotels Across South India
The Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) has announced the signing of agreements for 10 new hotels across southern states under its Ginger brand. The capital-light arrangement will be based on an operating lease model.
Suma Venkatesh, Executive Vice President, Real Estate & Development, IHCL, said:
“Ginger represents IHCL’s response to the growing opportunity in India’s midscale segment. The brand is relevant across diverse destinations – from metros and state capitals to commercial centres, industrial townships, pilgrimage sites and leisure hubs. This framework agreement for 10 Ginger hotels in South India reflects the potential of the segment. We are pleased to collaborate with Madison, the hospitality platform of Terminus Group, and JV Ventures.”
The new portfolio will mainly consist of greenfield and brownfield projects. The partnership kicks off with the signing of a 75-key Ginger hotel located in Genome Valley, Telangana. Strategically positioned in the state’s research and development hub, this will be the first branded hotel in the area. The property will feature Ginger’s all-day dining restaurant, Qmin, as well as a fitness centre and meeting facilities, catering to both short and extended business stays.
S.P. Reddy, Co-Founder, Madison, said:
“The Ginger Genome Valley property will support the Industrial Corridor with modern business facilities and social spaces that foster collaboration. This marks the first comprehensive hospitality offering within the cluster, after more than two decades of its operation.”
Jasmeet Chhabra, Co-Founder, JV Ventures, added:

“Madison will roll out 10 Ginger hotels with over 1,000 keys and an estimated construction outlay of INR 500 crore across industrial and spiritual towns in South India over the next three years, in partnership with IHCL.”
