Hyatt Centric Soalteemode Kathmandu has announced two new appointments to redefine its Culinary department.
Souvik Dutta- Appointed as Head Chef

Souvik hails from Kolkata and brings over 14 years of culinary expertise, leadership experience, and creative vision to the hotel’s dining offerings.
Souvik is a Hotel Management graduate. He began his culinary journey with Hyatt in 2011. Over the years, he has rose through ranks in his roles. Prior to this appointment, he served as the Executive Sous Chef at Hyatt Regency Kolkata.
His new role as Head Chef at Hyatt Centric Soalteemode Kathmandu marks a significant milestone in his distinguished career.
Souvik said, “Hyatt’s people-centric culture and dedication to talent development have inspired me from the very beginning—fueling a greater sense of purpose and responsibility.”
His accomplishments include a launch of a chef mentorship program. This initiative has played a key role in fostering stronger team dynamics and enhancing overall kitchen performance.
Outside the professional kitchen he enjoys traveling to uncover diverse food cultures, reading about global cuisines, photographing food, and staying active through sports.
Gaurav Malik- Appointed as Director of Food & Beverage

Gaurav holds over 14 years of industry experience with a robust foundation in Hospitality and Tourism Management. His appointment signals a new chapter for the hotel’s culinary direction.
Gaurav began his hospitality journey in 2011 as a waiter and steadily progressed in his roles, holding key leadership positions such as F&B Outlet Manager and Assistant F&B Manager.
Prior to joining Hyatt Centric Soalteemode Kathmandu, he served as the Assistant Director of Food & Beverage at Grand Hyatt Goa.
Among his many achievements is his transformation of an underutilized rooftop in Dubai into a Nikkei cuisine restaurant, now recognized as one of the city’s most iconic dining destination.
Outside of work, Gaurav is a cricket enthusiast and passionate about cycling and exploring new places.
