IHCL Expands Portfolio to 628 Hotels
Growth Driven by New Signings, Acquisitions and Brand Expansion
Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) has expanded its portfolio to 628 hotels, with 255 properties in the pipeline.

Suma Venkatesh, Executive Vice President – Real Estate & Development, IHCL, said the fiscal year saw 250 hotel signings through a mix of acquisitions and organic growth. The company also expanded its presence across segments, including the introduction of Claridges Collection, a boutique luxury offering, and the acquisition of a controlling stake in Atmantan, an integrated wellness centre, as well as a stake in Brij Hospitality in the experiential leisure space.
In the midscale segment, Ginger continued to grow following the acquisition of majority stakes in ANK and Pride Hospitality, expanding its presence to over 250 hotels across more than 150 locations.
Venkatesh added that IHCL continued to record organic growth across its brands, with 19 signings under the Taj brand, including projects in Cairo, Patna and Noida. The Gateway brand also crossed a portfolio of over 50 hotels.

Deepika Rao, Executive Vice President – Hotel Openings & New Businesses, IHCL, said the company opened more than 30 hotels across different brands during the fiscal year. IHCL also entered new destinations such as Lakshadweep, Ekta Nagar, Raichak, Kanpur, Vrindavan and Bhutan, while strengthening its presence in cities including Goa, Ahmedabad, Coorg, Kochi, Gurugram, Delhi, Varanasi, Udaipur, Haridwar and Dehradun.
Through acquisitions during the year, IHCL added over 100 operating hotels, taking the total number of operational properties to 373, with more than 33,000 rooms.
The company continues to work towards its stated goal of reaching a 700-hotel portfolio under its ‘Accelerate 2030’ strategy.
