IHCL Signs New Gateway Hotel in Bengaluru’s Yeshwantpur

Gateway Brand Strengthens IHCL’s Presence in North Bengaluru

Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) has announced the signing of a new Gateway hotel in Yeshwantpur, Bengaluru. The project will be developed as a brownfield property, further strengthening IHCL’s presence in one of India’s most important hospitality markets.

Commenting on the development, Suma Venkatesh, Executive Vice President – Real Estate & Development, IHCL, said that Bengaluru continues to be one of the country’s leading lodging markets, with Yeshwantpur emerging as a significant commercial hub. She noted that the addition of the reimagined Gateway brand in North Bengaluru reinforces IHCL’s growing footprint in the city.

The hotel is being developed in partnership with Naveen Hotels, led by Chairman Satish Shetty. According to the hotel group, the construction of the joint development project is expected to be completed within the next 24 months. The signing also marks the third hotel collaboration between IHCL and Naveen Hotels.

The upcoming Gateway Yeshwantpur, Bengaluru, will feature 283 guest rooms and a range of dining options, including an all-day diner, a specialty restaurant, a bar and lounge, and a pool bar.

Designed to cater to both business and leisure travellers, the hotel will offer approximately 13,000 square feet of event and meeting space. Facilities will include two large pillarless banquet halls and multiple meeting rooms, making it well-suited for conferences, social gatherings, and corporate events.

Guests will also have access to a modern fitness centre and a swimming pool, enhancing the overall hospitality experience.

Speaking on the partnership, Satish Shetty, Chairman of Naveen Hotels, said the company is pleased to expand its association with IHCL through the Gateway project, adding that the hotel will contribute to the evolving hospitality landscape of the area.

Often referred to as the Silicon Valley of India, Bengaluru remains one of the country’s fastest-growing cities, driven by its thriving technology sector, startup ecosystem, and strong business environment.

With the addition of this hotel, the hotel group’s portfolio in Bengaluru will increase to 21 hotels, including 12 properties currently under development.
