Radisson Expands Portfolio with India and Emerging Markets in Focus

Radisson Hotel Group continued to expand its global portfolio during the first half of 2026, supported by new hotel signings, openings, market entries and brand expansion across Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific.

The group’s growth strategy focuses on a diversified portfolio that includes luxury, lifestyle, upscale, resort, conversion and mixed-use hospitality projects, while responding to continued demand for branded hotels.

Growth Across International Markets

During the first half of the year, Radisson Hotel Group expanded its presence across Europe with new hotel signings and openings in countries including Germany, Austria and Poland. The company also strengthened its resort portfolio with projects in Tenerife and Phuket, while expanding its Radisson Individuals brand in Greece and Spain.

In the Middle East and Africa, the group opened new properties in Dubai, Riyadh and Almaty. Africa also crossed the milestone of more than 100 hotels in operation and under development.

Asia Pacific Expansion Continues

Asia Pacific remains an important growth region for the company, supported by increasing travel demand and continued investment in branded hospitality.

In China, Radisson Hotel Group now operates more than 260 hotels across several brands, while continuing to expand into both major cities and regional markets.

The company also introduced Radisson Individuals Premier in Southeast Asia Pacific with the opening of LIME Resort Bohol. In New Zealand, Radisson RED Auckland marked the group’s first hotel in the country, while Radisson RED Sydney Haymarket became its first signed Radisson RED property in Australia.

India Remains a Key Growth Market

India continues to play an important role in Radisson Hotel Group’s development strategy.

During the first half of 2026, the company signed 18 hotels representing 2,082 rooms and opened four hotels with 394 keys. As a result, its development pipeline increased from 87 hotels at the end of 2025 to 98 hotels.

The hotel group currently operates 142 hotels with more than 15,500 keys across 86 cities in India.

The company also introduced its India Vision 2030 strategy, which aims to expand its portfolio from around 240 operating and pipeline hotels to 500 hotels over the next five years.

Expansion beyond major metropolitan cities remains a priority, with new projects announced in destinations including Kishangarh, Meerut, Roorkee, Coorg, Kalimpong, Puri and Prayagraj.

The group said conversion projects and brownfield developments accounted for 62% of its hotel signings during the first half of 2026, reflecting growing owner interest in flexible development models, mixed-use projects, serviced apartments and branded residences. It added that its focus remains on long-term growth through strategic partnerships, a diversified brand portfolio and expansion across key markets.
