Hyatt Regency Dehradun Resort and Spa has announced the appointment of Malabika Das as the new Director of Celebrations.
A veteran in luxury wedding planning, Malabika Das brings over 12 years of expertise to the role. She will be expected to elevate the resort’s position as a leading destination for weddings in North India.
A seasoned expert in curating events, Malabika approaches wedding planning with a commitment to empathy, precision, and personalisation.
She shared her philosophy on wedding experiences, “Weddings are the most personal form of celebration — a reflection of love, culture, and togetherness. At Hyatt Regency Dehradun, we don’t just plan weddings; we craft experiences that stay etched in the hearts of our guests forever. It is my honour to lead this journey of love, luxury, and legacy in the lap of the Himalayas.”
Now with Malabika in charge, the resort will continue to deliver curated experiences that will integrate local culture and the natural surroundings into every wedding celebration.
She further added, “No two couples are alike, so no two weddings should feel alike.”
Hyatt Regency Dehradun has announced plans to introduce new wedding experiences aimed at differentiating the property within the regional event space. The resort will offer open-air mehendi functions under pine trees, moonlit pheras with views of the Himalayas, and gifting options designed with sustainability in mind. Additional features will include personalised services, tech-enabled guest engagement, and wellness elements such as sunrise yoga sessions and mindful haldi rituals.
As part of this initiative, the resort is working to position itself as a destination for weddings in North India. The focus includes building partnerships with vendors, refining operations, and incorporating regional cultural elements into event planning.
