The Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) launched a new documentary film called “Hong Kong Classics Reimagined” on Friday, May 17th in Cannes, France.

The 60-minute showcase, premiering during the Marché du Film at the 77th Cannes Film Festival, pays homage to classic Hong Kong movies and aims to inspire film lovers worldwide. Alongside the premiere of the docufilm, HKTB also introduced a dedicated movie tourism guide on its official website. This comprehensive guide demonstrates how travellers can turn their cinematic inspiration into unforgettable experiences in Hong Kong.

The guide offers specially curated experiences that allow visitors to immerse themselves in the world of Hong Kong cinema. Tourists can explore iconic film locations and experience the city’s charm through activities such as visiting record stores featured in “Infernal Affairs” and retracing the famous motorbike route from “Fallen Angels” on an open-top bus. This journey is inspired by the enchanting allure of Hong Kong’s cinematic landscape.
