Emirates to Launch Daily Dubai–Helsinki Flights from October 2026

Emirates will launch a daily flight service between Dubai and Helsinki from 1 October 2026, expanding its presence in the Nordic region. The new route will provide a year-round, non-stop connection between Finland and the UAE and is expected to support both leisure and business travel demand.

The service will operate on Emirates’ Airbus A350, bringing the airline’s latest onboard products, including Premium Economy, to Finland from the first day of operations.

Flight Schedule

  • EK167 will depart Dubai at 08:45, arriving in Helsinki at 14:55

  • EK168 will depart Helsinki at 16:45, arriving in Dubai at 00:20 the following day

(*All times are local.)

Connections Across Emirates’ Network

The flight schedule has been planned to support onward connections via Dubai to a wide range of destinations across Emirates’ network. These include cities in East and Southeast Asia such as Bangkok, Phuket, Bali, Kuala Lumpur, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Hong Kong, Seoul, Tokyo, Beijing, Shanghai, Singapore and Taipei.

The service will also offer connectivity to destinations across West Asia, the Indian Ocean region, and Africa, including Cairo, Cape Town, and Johannesburg, as well as major hubs across the Middle East and GCC, including Dammam, Riyadh, Muscat, and Kuwait City. Passengers will also be able to connect to all five Australian cities served by Emirates, as well as to routes to Auckland and Christchurch in New Zealand.

Emirates Comments on the New Route

Adnan Kazim
Adnan Kazim

Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, said the route reflects demand between Finland and the UAE and is intended to provide a direct travel option for passengers currently connecting through other Nordic gateways.

“The Dubai-Helsinki route is an expansion of our global network. There is already demand between Helsinki and Dubai, with travellers connecting through our other Nordic gateways, so introducing direct, year-round connectivity is a natural next step,” he said.

Kazim also noted that Emirates will deploy the A350 on the route to support long-haul travel needs and to offer Premium Economy from launch.

Tourism and Trade Opportunities

Tourism remains an important part of Finland’s economy, with Visit Finland reporting around 5 million international tourists in recent years. Emirates’ new route will provide access to Helsinki from more than 150 destinations across the airline’s global network.

The UAE and Finland also maintain trade and business ties in areas including renewable energy, artificial intelligence, digital transformation, education, space, and sustainable development. The Dubai–Helsinki service will also support cargo movement via Emirates SkyCargo, with approximately 16 tonnes of bellyhold capacity on each flight. Emirates expects to transport commodities including pharmaceuticals, electronics, machinery, perishables and other high-value goods.

A350 Aircraft on the Route

The Dubai–Helsinki route will be served by the Emirates A350, configured with 298 seats across three cabin classes:

  • Business Class

  • Premium Economy

  • Economy Class

The aircraft will feature updated cabin interiors and onboard technology, along with Emirates’ inflight entertainment system, ice, offering more than 6,500 channels of content in multiple languages.

Passengers will also have access to multi-course meal options and a selection of beverages across cabin classes.

Emirates’ new Helsinki service is scheduled to begin operations on 1 October 2026, further extending the airline’s Nordic network.
