IHCL Opens Gateway Dehradun, Marking Brand Entry into Uttarakhand
Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) has announced the opening of Gateway Dehradun, introducing the Gateway brand to the capital city of Uttarakhand.

Ms. Leah Tata, Vice President & Brand Leader, Gateway Hotels & Resorts, IHCL, said the launch strengthens the brand’s presence in North India. She noted that Dehradun serves as an access point to destinations such as Mussoorie, Rishikesh and Haridwar, and continues to develop as both a leisure and business destination.
Located in the Doon Valley, the 100-key hotel offers views of the surrounding hills and greenery. Dining options include The Pavillion, an all-day dining restaurant serving Indian, Continental and Asian cuisine, and Aanch, which focuses on North Indian dishes inspired by the North-West Frontier region.
The property features an outdoor swimming pool, fitness centre, spa and wellness facilities, and event spaces for meetings and social gatherings. Guests can also explore curated culinary experiences, including regional Uttarakhandi dishes, Tibetan specialities and local sweets such as Bal Mithai and Singori.

Mr. Vineet Soni, General Manager, Gateway Dehradun, said the hotel has been designed to cater to travellers visiting the region for business or leisure.
Situated between the Shivalik foothills and the Himalayas, Dehradun is known for its natural landscape and cultural landmarks. Key attractions include Paltan Bazaar, Rajpur Road Market, Robber’s Cave, Mindrolling Monastery, Tapkeshwar Temple and Sahastradhara, offering visitors a mix of shopping, heritage and outdoor experiences.
