Gurugram Sees New Gateway Hotel Development

Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) has announced the signing of a Gateway hotel in Sector 83, Gurugram, Haryana. The project will be developed as a greenfield property, adding to the company’s presence in the National Capital Region.

Suma Venkatesh, Executive Vice President – Real Estate & Development, IHCL, said Gurugram continues to grow as a commercial centre within NCR, supported by activity across corporate, financial services, and IT/ITeS sectors. She noted that the project, located in New Gurugram, is intended to meet the demand for full-service branded hotels in the area. The company is partnering with Vijay Gupta and Amit Gupta for the development.

The planned hotel will feature 220 rooms, along with an all-day dining restaurant, a bar, and a speciality restaurant. Facilities will include a gym and a swimming pool. The property will also have a banquet hall spanning 7,000 sq. ft., designed to host corporate events and social gatherings.

Amit Gupta said the partnership with IHCL brings the Gateway brand to Gurugram, with the project planned to align with the growing commercial and social activity in New Gurugram. He added that the development aims to combine hospitality with accessibility for the surrounding area.

With this addition, IHCL’s portfolio in Haryana will include 15 hotels, of which six are currently under development.
