Four Seasons Names Robert Fritz Executive Chairman

Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts has announced the appointment of Robert Fritz as Executive Chairman. Founder Isadore Sharp will assume the role of Chairman Emeritus.

Robert Fritz, a long-time executive with Cascade Investment, the company’s shareholder, has served as Lead Director on the Four Seasons Board since 2022. In his new role, he will continue to lead the Board and work closely with President and CEO Alejandro Reynal and the executive leadership team to guide the company’s long-term strategy.

Isadore Sharp, who founded Four Seasons more than six decades ago, will remain actively involved as Chairman Emeritus.

The appointment reflects continuity in leadership, with Fritz expected to support long-term strategic planning and sustained growth. Leadership and stakeholders highlighted alignment on maintaining the company’s culture and global positioning in luxury hospitality.

Michael Larson, Chief Investment Officer at Cascade Investment, and Sarmad Zok both expressed confidence in Fritz’s leadership while acknowledging Sharp’s lasting impact on the brand.
