The Everest Hotel Kathmandu Appoints Prem Upadhyay as Director of Sales & Marketing

The Everest Hotel Kathmandu has announced the appointment of Prem Upadhyay as Director of Sales & Marketing.

Prem Upadhyay brings over 30 years of experience in the hospitality industry, with expertise across sales, marketing, hotel operations, business development, and pre-opening projects.

Prior to this appointment, he was associated with Rockland Group, where he worked as Sales Specialist from 2015 to 2026 and most recently as Account Manager. He has also held multiple leadership roles across hospitality and related sectors, including Director of Sales at Opo Hotels & Resorts Pvt. Ltd., and freelance consulting assignments focused on business planning and sales strategy.

Upadhyay has had a long association with the Ananta Group of Hotels and Goyal Fashions Pvt. Ltd., where he served as Director of Sales & Marketing for Delhi & NCR, overseeing sales and business promotion for properties including Country Inn & Suites Jaipur, Ananta Spa & Resort Pushkar, and The Ananta Udaipur.

Earlier in his career, he spent over two decades with Country Development & Management Services Pvt. Ltd. (CDMS) as Associate Director of Sales, and also worked with Carlson in sales roles based in New Delhi.

In his new role at The Everest Hotel Kathmandu, he will be responsible for leading sales and marketing functions, driving business development, strengthening market positioning, and supporting revenue growth for the property.

The appointment marks a step in strengthening the hotel’s commercial leadership as it continues its operations in the Kathmandu market.
