voco Suites Debuts in Darwin with Apartment-Style Stays

voco has officially opened voco Darwin Suites in the heart of Darwin city centre, marking the brand’s entry into Australia’s Northern Territory and introducing the voco Suites concept to the country.

Located on Mitchell Street, the newly built property features 88 one- and two-bedroom suites designed for both short and extended stays. The hotel combines apartment-style accommodation with the services and facilities of an international hotel brand.

Each suite includes a kitchen or kitchenette, a dedicated workspace, and a lounge area, offering flexibility for business and leisure travellers. Several suites also feature private balconies with views of the city skyline or the surrounding coastline.

The hotel’s Marketplace lobby concept offers locally sourced products for guests to enjoy during their stay, while the Aviary Bar & Brasserie serves modern Australian cuisine inspired by regional flavours. Guests can also access the Aviary Bar near the lobby for cocktails, wine and beverages.

Additional facilities include an outdoor plunge pool, a 24-hour fitness centre, meeting and event spaces, fast Wi-Fi and smart in-room technology.

Sean DeSouza, Portfolio General Manager, said the opening reflects growing interest in Darwin as both a business and leisure destination. He added that the hotel aims to provide guests with a comfortable and locally connected experience while introducing an internationally recognised premium hospitality brand to the city.

The hotel’s central location places guests close to attractions including Crocosaurus Cove, Darwin Waterfront Precinct, Mindil Beach, Cullen Bay and the Darwin Entertainment Centre, while also offering access to regional experiences across the Northern Territory.

The opening adds to the growing portfolio of voco hotels across Australia and New Zealand, with existing properties in destinations including Melbourne, Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Hunter Valley, Gosford and Queenstown.

voco Darwin Suites is now welcoming guests, with room rates starting from AUD 230 per night.
