Etihad Airways has published its traffic statistics for January 2026, reporting growth in passenger numbers, fleet size, and network reach compared with the same period last year.
The airline carried 2.2 million passengers during the month, up 29% from January 2025, when 1.7 million passengers travelled with the carrier. The passenger load factor rose slightly to 89.9%, compared with 89.1% a year earlier, indicating continued demand across its network.
At the start of 2026, Etihad’s operating fleet comprised 127 aircraft, including freighters and aircraft under short-term ACMI leases. The airline’s global network expanded to 110 destinations, including passenger and cargo routes, as well as destinations scheduled to begin operations within the next 12 months.

He also highlighted recent route announcements to Luxembourg and Calgary, both of which will gain direct connectivity to Abu Dhabi for the first time.
