Emirates Elevates Thanksgiving With Traditional Fare

To celebrate the season of gratitude, Emirates will be offering Thanksgiving food, drinks and entertainment on flights to and from Dubai and USA, between the 24-30 of November. Traditional festive fare will also be served in the Emirates Lounges in Dubai, Boston, New York, Los Angeles, and San Francisco.

Thanksgiving With Emirates

Awaken to the aroma of cinnamon pancakes served with seasonal apple and cranberry compote, and a dollop of whipped ricotta pumpkin cream, served in First, Business and Premium Economy Class. Combined with complimentary blueberry muffins and aromatic cinnamon rolls in Business Class, this is a scrumptious Thanksgiving breakfast to get the holiday started.

First Class For Thanksgiving

On flights to and from Dubai to USA, First Class customers will savour a range of classic gourmet dishes including creamy celeriac and pear soup with leek julienne, sweet potato soup with poached lobster and chives, appetisers of smoked salmon with chives, cucumber, pea shoots and horseradish sauce, or seafood platter appetiser with poached prawn, smoked salmon, crab cocktail and salmon gravadlax, alongside caviar, horseradish and wakame.

Main courses will celebrate Thanksgiving classics like turkey leg roulade with roasted butternut, mashed potatoes with carrot, buttered brussels sprouts, roasted pecans, a dash of cranberry jus lié and thyme and garlic potatoes. Another main course will feature lemon, zaatar and buttermilk roasted turkey with celeriac apple purée, maple-roasted caraway pumpkin and beetroot, kale with cranberries, pecan and cornbread stuffing. For dessert, First Class customers can sample the seasonal flavours of warm apple fritters with mascarpone cream and cinnamon sugar, zingy key lime tart accented with raspberry coulis, hot toffee apple and pecan cake doused with salted caramel sauce and marshmallows, or chocolate marble cheesecake served with berry compote and vanilla curd.

Traditional Thanksgiving Treats

In Business Class, customers will be offered a sweet potato soup, creamy celeriac and pear soup, salmon gravadlax with ginger and candied orange, carrot coulis, blackberries and Beluga caviar, caper berries, red sorrel and baby spinach. Thanksgiving main courses will include lemon zaatar and buttermilk roasted turkey with celeriac apple puree, maple-roasted caraway pumpkin and beetroot, kale with cranberries, pecan and cornbread stuffing, or turkey roulade with all the trimmings. Desserts include key lime tart or cheesecake with strawberry basil confit.

On the Emirates A380 flights from Dubai to Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco and Washington DC, First and Business Class customers can also have a Thanksgiving sweet treat in the onboard lounge – pecan cupcakes with luscious cream cheese frosting, and sweet treats washed down with a selection of premium whiskeys, cocktails, wine, and champagne.

Gourmet Goodness For Thanksgiving

Premium Economy customers can relish moreish dishes like festive salad of grilled artichoke antipasti, butternut squash, broad beans and kale, with sunflower seeds and dried cranberries, or shrimp cocktail with fennel salad. Customers will feast on tender turkey roulade with all the trimmings or delve into a buttermilk and herb roasted turkey served with cranberry jus lie, mashed sweet potato, blanched broccolini, paprika potato wedges and honey glazed pumpkin with crushed pecans. The finale to the meal will be a key lime tart dashed with Chantilly cream and raspberry, or a smooth berry cheesecake and red berry coulis.

In Economy Class, customers coming from the US will refresh with a welcome drink of festive orange, pomegranate, apple and cinnamon. Travellers will enjoy a quinoa salad with kale, butternut squash and crushed pecans to start, or classic Waldorf salad, followed by a festive roasted chicken with cranberry jus lie, chestnut roulade with turkey bacon, maple baked parsnips, carrot mash, peas and potato wedges. Dessert will be a decadent salted caramel milk cake or sticky toffee pudding, followed by a warm Snickerdoodle cookie.

Thanksgiving Celebrations in Emirates Lounges

Between the 23-30 November, Thanksgiving can also be enjoyed at the Emirates Lounges in New York, Boston, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. Travellers will be invited to experience authentic Thanksgiving dishes of roasted mushroom bisque with crème fraiche and truffles, followed by a sumptuous main course of cider-brined turkey breast with roasted apples and fresh herbs, traditional gravy, fresh cranberry compote, brioche stuffing with apricots, dates, onion and kale, creamy mashed potatoes with butter and chives, as well as brussels sprouts with pepitas and sunflower seeds. Desserts will include pumpkin-spiced olive oil cake with maple mascarpone and caramel sauce, complemented by festive cocktails.

In Emirates’ Dubai Lounges, Thanksgiving meals will feature roasted turkey breast with cranberry sauce, roasted potatoes with rosemary and paprika, glazed chestnuts, roasted root vegetables with brussels sprouts, followed by an array of desserts including white chocolate and cranberry cheesecake, pecan pie and pumpkin cranberry cheesecake. Customers may get in the festive mood with a pumpkin spiced martini, maple pumpkin sangria, or a spiced pear delight mocktail.

Thanksgiving Entertainment on ice

Enhancing the Thanksgiving mood, customers can settle in to watch the NBA games live on Sport24 and Sport24 Extra and see the Milwaukee Bucks, Boston Celtics, Dallas Mavericks, Los Angeles Lakers, Golden State Warriors and more in action, over the Thanksgiving period. There is a wide array of holiday season content within 6,500 channels of on-demand entertainment on ice, over 2,000 movies, 650 TV shows, and 4,000 hours of music, podcasts, and audiobooks in over 40 languages.
