Emirates and Rolls-Royce Sign MOU for A380 Engine MRO from 2027

Emirates and Rolls-Royce have signed a Memorandum of Understanding at the Dubai Airshow 2025 under which Emirates will begin performing Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) services for the Trent 900 engines used on its A380 fleet starting in 2027. The airline has also extended its TotalCare service agreement for these engines into the 2040s.

As part of the agreement, Emirates will establish a new facility designed to support engine MRO, with the first induction expected in 2027. The airline will carry out fan case repairs at the facility, while Rolls-Royce will continue to manage module repair capability across its global network.
