Emirates Launches A350 and Premium Economy in Oslo

To celebrate this occasion, the airline hosted an event at Oslo Airport, where guests and media were welcomed to highlight its ongoing investment in the Norwegian market.

Emirates has launched its Airbus A350 service to Oslo, marking the introduction of Premium Economy to Scandinavia for the first time. To celebrate this occasion, the airline hosted an event at Oslo Airport, where guests and media were welcomed to highlight its ongoing investment in the Norwegian market.

The A350 features Emirates’ new Business Class, Premium Economy, and Economy Class cabins, reflecting the airline’s focus on comfort and service across all travel classes. This launch represents a new stage in the airline’s operations in Norway.

Since 2014, Emirates’ daily service between Dubai and Oslo has become a key connection for both business and leisure travellers linking Norway to the UAE and the airline’s global network.

The event was attended by Emirates senior executives, including Pierfrancesco Carino, VP Commercial Operations North and West Europe, and Terje Grue, Country Manager Norway, alongside Majid Al Matrooshi from the Embassy of the UAE in Norway, Ståle Lien Hansen, Mayor of Ullensaker Municipality, and Dorothy Billett, SVP Terminal Operations at Avinor.

Terje Grue said, “We are pleased to bring the A350 and Premium Economy product to Norway. This is an important step in strengthening our presence in the market. Travellers from Oslo can now experience a new level of comfort on flights to Dubai and onward to destinations across Asia, Africa, and Australia.”

About Premium Economy

Premium Economy offers a travel experience positioned between Economy and Business Class. Features include 40-inch seat pitch, 8-inch recline, adjustable headrests, and full leg and footrests. Seats are upholstered in cream leather with fold-out woodgrain tables. Other features include in-seat charging points, a 13.3-inch TV screen, a pillow and blanket, amenity kits on select flights, and Chandon Vintage Brut 2017 sparkling wine.

Travel agency partners, operational partners, and media representatives explored the aircraft during a static tour after its arrival.

The A350 will operate on Emirates’ daily EK159/160 service between Oslo and Dubai, offering connections to 145 destinations, including Thailand, Indonesia, Pakistan, Japan, Vietnam, the Philippines, and Australia.
