Emirates Airline Foundation and Emirates Auction Raise AED 8.8 Million for Children’s Programmes
Emirates Airline Foundation and Emirates Auction have raised AED 8.8 million (USD 2.4 million) through a charitable auction to support humanitarian programmes for underprivileged children worldwide.
The auction ran from 17 December 2025 to 17 January 2026 and attracted more than 900 bids from participants in 131 countries. Seven Emirates Skywards membership numbers with Platinum tier benefits were offered, with the highest bid reaching AED 1.6 million. Two bidders secured 20-year Platinum memberships, while five won 15-year memberships. Participants included bidders from the UAE, UK, India, the United States, Pakistan, France, Germany, Egypt and Thailand.
The funds raised will allow the Foundation to launch new initiatives and expand ongoing programmes delivered in partnership with 14 non-governmental organisations across nine countries.
Following the auction, the Emirates Airline Foundation and Emirates Auction confirmed plans to make the initiative an annual event, providing ongoing opportunities for supporters to contribute to the Foundation’s work.

Commenting on the initiative, Sir Tim Clark, President of Emirates Airline and Chairman of the Emirates Airline Foundation, said the auction was designed to explore new ways of supporting the Foundation’s humanitarian efforts. He noted that the proceeds will help extend existing programmes and reach additional communities, supporting children across regions including India, the Philippines, Brazil, Kenya, South Africa and Zimbabwe.

Abdullah Matar Al Mannai, Chairman and Managing Director of Emirates Auction, said the initiative reflects the value of collaboration between national institutions and charitable organisations, and highlighted Emirates Auction’s role in supporting humanitarian and social development initiatives.
Operating under the patronage of Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, the Emirates Airline Foundation focuses on providing vulnerable children with access to healthcare, education, housing, nutrition and vocational training. The Foundation is funded by contributions from Emirates customers and employees, with donations directed towards programme delivery.
Emirates Auction LLC, established in 2004, conducts auctions across a range of asset categories and partners with government bodies, private organisations and charities to support initiatives linked to sustainability, innovation and community development across the UAE.
