Eight Continents Hotels & Resorts Plans Expansion to 50 Hotels by 2030
Eight Continents Hotels & Resorts has announced plans to expand its portfolio to 50 hotels by 2030. The growth strategy is designed to strengthen the group’s presence across India’s pilgrimage, leisure, wildlife, and business travel segments.
The group’s portfolio includes Ocho Homes, Hanric, Treetop, and Stamps, with a focus on design-led boutique properties that reflect local culture and heritage while delivering consistent hospitality standards. Eight Continents currently operates across India, the UK, and East Africa, with an emphasis on experience-led stays for contemporary travellers.
As part of its expansion roadmap, the group plans to enter key pilgrimage destinations, including Vrindavan, Ayodhya, Shirdi, and Ujjain. Leisure and wildlife locations, including Udaipur, Gir, Corbett, Varkala, and Jaisalmer, are also part of the plan. In addition, Eight Continents intends to expand its footprint in major business and commercial markets, including Gurgaon, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad, as well as select tier-two cities.
The strategy aligns with domestic travel trends, including rising demand for pilgrimage tourism and the growing importance of tier-two cities, supported by infrastructure development, improved connectivity, and decentralised business activity.
Expansion will follow a phased and structured approach based on market readiness, demand patterns, and brand alignment:
By 2028, the group aims to establish approximately 10 hotels across key pilgrimage destinations.
By 2029, it plans to add another 10 properties in leisure and nature-led markets, supporting diversification across travel segments.
By 2030, the portfolio is expected to scale to 50 hotels through entry into major metropolitan and business hubs.

Commenting on the roadmap, Richa Adhia, Managing Director, Eight Continents Hotels & Resorts, said the group is focused on building a balanced platform that combines experience-led hospitality with a disciplined growth approach.
India remains central to Eight Continents’ long-term strategy. The expansion plan builds on recent developments, including the launch of Stampy by Eight Continents in Pushkar and Stamps by Eight Continents in Jodhpur, as well as new Ocho Homes properties in Belfast and Navi Mumbai. Through continued brand development and market-driven expansion, the group aims to grow its presence across diverse geographies and hospitality formats.
