Hyatt Opens Dreams Playa Esmeralda Resort & Spa in the Dominican Republic
Hyatt Hotels Corporation has announced the opening of Dreams Playa Esmeralda Resort & Spa, an all-inclusive beachfront property located along the northeast coast of the Dominican Republic. The new resort expands the Dreams Resorts & Spas brand within Hyatt’s Inclusive Collection portfolio.
Dreams Playa Esmeralda Resort & Spa offers 500 rooms and suites, including options with garden, pool, or oceanfront views, as well as swim-out suites. Guests can also choose the Preferred Club for additional services, upgraded accommodations, and exclusive lounge and pool access.
Dining options include ten restaurants and seven bars, featuring international cuisines alongside Dominican specialities. A shared Public Square connects the Dreams Playa Esmeralda property with the nearby adults-only Secrets Playa Esmeralda Resort & Spa, offering guests access to additional dining, shopping, and entertainment venues.
Amenities include three pools, a waterpark, Explorer’s Club for children, Core Zone Teens Club, fitness facilities, and the Secrets Spa with hydrotherapy, wellness, and salon services. The resort also provides direct beach access to Playa Esmeralda.
Located in Miches, the property provides travellers with access to regional natural attractions, including Montaña Redonda, Los Haitises National Park, Samaná Bay, and the Salto La Jalda waterfall. The resort has also introduced a protected sea turtle nesting area in partnership with Promiches, supporting local conservation efforts.
Dreams Playa Esmeralda Resort & Spa offers more than 15,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space for weddings, meetings, and group gatherings.
