Sweet Gesture: DoubleTree by Hilton Offers Free Cookies Nationwide on August 4
To celebrate National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day on August 4, DoubleTree by Hilton is offering complimentary cookies at nearly 400 locations across the United States. Whether you’re a guest, a local resident, or just passing through, you can stop by and enjoy one of DoubleTree’s famous chocolate chip cookies. You can choose between the original warm cookie or an allergy-friendly version.

“Our cookie has long represented the warm hospitality we aim to deliver,” said Shawn McAteer, brand leader at DoubleTree by Hilton.
“On this day, we’re pleased to extend that same feeling to everyone, not just our guests.”

The cookie, first introduced in 1986, has become an integral part of the DoubleTree experience. It has also reached several notable milestones:

2019: Became the first food baked in space, as part of an experiment on the International Space Station.
2023: A new allergy-friendly version was launched, catering to guests with dietary restrictions. It is gluten-free, vegan, non-GMO, and free from the top nine allergens.
2024: The original space-baked cookie was placed on display at the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum in Virginia.
2025: DoubleTree introduced a new dining concept called Piebird, which will launch later this year. Among the menu items is the “Cookie-tini,” a dessert-inspired martini that nods to the hotel’s popular cookie.

Guests are encouraged to visit any U.S. DoubleTree location on August 4 to take part in the celebration and enjoy a free cookie — no stay required.
