Delta Named to Massachusetts’ Most Charitable Companies List for 2025
The Boston Business Journal has named Delta to its list of Massachusetts’ Most Charitable Companies for 2025, awarding the airline the Corporate Citizenship Award. Delta is the only commercial airline included in this year’s list.
This recognition highlights the contributions Delta and its employees make in Boston. Through investments, partnerships, and volunteer efforts, Delta supports initiatives that extend beyond the airport and into the local community.
Community Contributions in Boston
Earlier this year, the Delta Air Lines Foundation awarded a $1 million grant to the Greater Boston Food Bank (GBFB) to expand refrigeration capacity for distributing fresh produce, dairy, protein, and eggs to families across Eastern Massachusetts. This grant will enable the Food Bank to distribute up to 10 million additional pounds of food annually.
Delta employees also volunteer regularly at GBFB — from warehouse shifts to mobile markets — contributing time to help address community needs.
This week, Delta operated a charter flight for Honor Flight New England, transporting veterans to Washington, D.C., to recognize their service.
Delta also partners with a range of nonprofits in Greater Boston, including the American Red Cross, Boston Children’s Hospital, Junior Achievement of Greater Boston, Museum of Science, UNCF, USO New England, and YMCA Greater Boston, among others.

“Delta is investing in the Boston community, and Delta’s contributions and employee volunteer efforts are getting recognized by our customers,” said Candice Stover, General Manager, New England Sales.
“We are thrilled to be chosen as one of Massachusetts most charitable companies.”
