Centara Hotels & Resorts Reports 2025 Growth, Sets 2026 Global Expansion Plans

Centara Hotels & Resorts has outlined its 2025 performance and 2026 expansion plans, following a year marked by portfolio additions, project completions and revenue growth.

In 2025, Centara opened The Atollia by Centara Hotels & Resorts in the Maldives, including Centara Grand Lagoon Maldives. The development contributed to a 10% increase in full-year revenue, which reached THB 12,318 million (approximately USD 380 million). Revenue per available room (RevPAR) rose 5% year-on-year, supported by a 4% increase in average room rate to THB 5,922. Profit from the hotel business declined slightly due to development-related expenses and the completion of a new villa zone at Centara Karon Villas Phuket.

For 2026, the company is targeting revenue growth of 14–15%, supported by tourism recovery in Thailand, portfolio expansion, and renovation and rebranding initiatives. Centara Grand Beach Resort Hua Hin and Centara Grand Beach Resort & Villas Krabi are scheduled for repositioning, with the latter set to relaunch as Centara Reserve Krabi by year-end.

Entry into Nepal and Regional Growth

Centara Hotels began 2026 with its entry into Nepal, opening the 42-key Himalayan Hideaway Resort Pokhara, The Centara Collection. Additional openings planned for the year include Centara Life Namba Hotel Osaka in Japan, two properties in Van Don, Vietnam, adding nearly 1,000 rooms, and Centara Life Hotel Surat Thani in Thailand. In total, five new hotels and resorts are scheduled to open during the year.

Sales, Branding and Market Outreach

The company’s sales and marketing strategy for 2026 includes roadshows in 18 countries and continued engagement with travel trade partners. New openings are expected to strengthen presence in markets including Japan, South Korea and the United States, alongside established source markets in Europe, Asia, Russia and the Middle East. Brand initiatives include the global rollout of the Centara Grand Experience and further development of the Centara Reserve positioning.

Technology and Guest Experience

Centara Hotels & Resorts continues to invest in technology to support operational efficiency and guest engagement. The Centara Data Warehouse has been introduced to enhance analytics capabilities and enable personalised services. A redesigned booking engine supports scalability and integration with AI-based systems. The Centara App, launched in December 2025, has recorded 100,000 downloads.

Sustainability and Responsible Business

Sustainability remains part of the group’s long-term strategy, with a stated goal of reaching net zero emissions by 2050. In 2025, Centara reported reductions in energy use (26%), water consumption (33%), waste to landfill (23%) and overall emissions (24%). Solar panels are now installed at 18 properties, increasing solar power generation compared to the previous year.

The company also expanded its education partnerships, working with 66 institutions and supporting over 3,000 student internships. Employment opportunities for senior citizens and people with disabilities continue to form part of its workforce initiatives.
