Brussels Airlines Adds Bon Sandwiches on European Flights
Bon Sandwiches to Be Served Across Brussels Airlines Network
Brussels Airlines will begin serving fresh sandwiches from Belgian food brand Bon on all short- and medium-haul flights from June 1.
The partnership introduces a new range of handcrafted sandwiches to the airline’s buy-on-board menu across its European network. Passengers will be able to choose from four sandwich options, with the menu expected to change several times throughout the year.
Bon, founded in Belgium in 2015, specialises in freshly prepared meals and currently operates 17 stores across the country. The company plans to expand its retail presence in the coming years, supported by investment from Colruyt Group.
Under the agreement with Brussels Airlines, around 450,000 sandwiches are expected to be served annually on board the airline’s flights. To support the additional demand, Bon is opening a dedicated production line in its kitchens, creating new operational roles for its team.
Brussels Airlines said the collaboration reflects its ongoing focus on working with Belgian brands across its onboard services. The airline already partners with several Belgian companies and cultural organisations as part of its inflight offering.

Bert Gillis, Commercial Director at Bon, said the company developed more than 40 recipes before selecting the final onboard range. The sandwiches were designed to maintain freshness and suitability for inflight service.

Thibaut Dewilde, Head of Inflight Management at Brussels Airlines, said the airline’s partnership with Bon aligns with its focus on Belgian products and onboard quality.
The fresh sandwiches will officially become available to passengers from the beginning of June on Brussels Airlines’ short- and medium-haul services.
