Bintan Resorts Partners with Singapore Tourism Board at OTM 2026 to Strengthen India Outreach

Bintan Resorts marked its participation at OTM 2026 (Outbound Travel Mart) by joining the Singapore Tourism Board pavilion, highlighting its connectivity and positioning as an island extension to Singapore for Indian travellers.

Located in Indonesia’s Riau Archipelago and accessible via a one-hour ferry ride from Singapore, Bintan continues to promote itself as a short-haul beach destination for the Indian market. The destination recorded over 13,000 Indian visitors in 2025 and is targeting further growth in 2026, with a focus on expanding FIT (Free Independent Traveller) traffic and strengthening its MICE segment outreach.

Indian travellers benefit from visa-on-arrival access, ferry connectivity from Singapore, and a range of beachfront resorts, golf courses, and event venues suited for leisure and corporate groups. Bintan also hosts sporting events such as the Bintan Triathlon, Bintan Marathon, and Tour de Bintan, which align with the growing interest among Indian outbound travellers in activity-led and wellness-focused itineraries.

At OTM 2026, Bintan Resorts focused on trade engagement and partnership-building with India’s outbound travel community. Abdul Wahab, Chief Operating Officer at Bintan Resorts, noted that India remains an important market and that participation alongside the Singapore Tourism Board supports the twin-destination positioning strategy. He added that the destination aims to expand both trade and consumer outreach across key Indian cities in the year ahead.

With continued engagement in the Indian market and defined segment priorities, Bintan Resorts plans to further develop its presence among Indian outbound travellers in 2026.
