Order Supports Fleet Expansion and Cargo Operations

Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings has placed a firm order for 20 Airbus A350F freighters, marking a key step in its fleet expansion plans. The order positions Atlas among the programme’s primary customers as it prepares to integrate the aircraft into its global operations.

The A350F aircraft will be deployed to support the company’s growth across cargo operations. As an outsourced aviation logistics provider, Atlas serves a range of customers and business models, and the addition of this aircraft type is expected to support its long-term network plans.

Michael Steen, Chief Executive Officer of Atlas Air Worldwide, said the order reflects the company’s focus on maintaining a modern and fuel-efficient freighter fleet. He added that the A350F offers operational capabilities, including payload and range, as well as a sustainability profile aligned with future requirements. The agreement also expands Atlas’ supplier base to include Airbus and Rolls-Royce.

Airbus stated that the agreement marks Atlas Air Worldwide’s entry into its customer base for freighter aircraft. The aircraft is also aligned with upcoming ICAO CO₂ emissions standards set to take effect in 2027.
