Minor Hotels Africa Appoints Helga Deboeck as General Manager of Anantara Bazaruto Island Resort

Minor Hotels Africa has appointed Helga Deboeck as General Manager of Anantara Bazaruto Island Resort. In her new role, she will oversee overall resort operations, guest experience, team leadership, and commercial performance.

Helga Deboeck was previously associated with Domes of Corfu, Autograph Collection in Greece, where she served as General Manager. She brings over 15 years of international experience across luxury hospitality markets in Europe, the Caribbean, the Middle East, and Africa.

Her career includes leadership roles across globally recognised hospitality brands, including Ritz-Carlton, W Hotels, St. Regis, and The Luxury Collection. She has also contributed to pre-opening and brand transition projects across multiple regions and played a role in developing Marriott International’s Luxury Pre-Opening Countdown Process.

Earlier, she held senior management positions at Sheraton Gambia Hotel Resort & Spa and Sheraton Grand Conakry, and served as Director of New Builds and Transitions with Marriott International in the UAE, overseeing upscale pre-opening projects across the Middle East and Africa.

In her current role, she will focus on strengthening operational performance, enhancing guest experiences, and driving the strategic positioning of Anantara Bazaruto Island Resort.
