Air France and Extime Travel Launch Paris Stopover
Paris Stopover Programme Lets Air France Travellers Explore France
Air France and Extime Travel have launched Paris Stopover, a new service that allows eligible passengers to extend their connection in Paris and explore the French capital and nearby attractions before continuing their journey.
Available when booking an Air France flight, the service enables travellers to add a stopover on either their outbound or return journey. Customers can then book a tailored travel package through Extime Travel, with options ranging from one to four nights.
The packages include airport transfers, accommodation and a selection of sightseeing experiences, offering travellers a convenient way to make the most of their time in Paris.
According to Air France, around half of its passengers arriving at Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport are connecting to another destination. The new programme is designed to encourage more visitors, particularly international travellers, to explore Paris during their layover.
A study by the Pégase Chair, published in April 2026, found that 81% of passengers with a connection in Paris were interested in leaving the airport to visit the city or nearby attractions. Interest was even higher among Brazilian and Indian travellers, following the removal of the French airport transit visa requirement for Indian citizens in April 2026.
The Paris Stopover programme includes themed packages such as Paris Must-See, featuring attractions including the Eiffel Tower and the Louvre Museum, and a Disneyland Paris package for families. Air France and Extime Travel also plan to introduce additional cultural, culinary and seasonal experiences in the future.
Each package includes transfers, accommodation at selected four or five-star hotels in central Paris or near Disneyland Paris, along with activities that can be tailored to the traveller’s schedule and interests.
The initiative forms part of the Connect France partnership between Air France-KLM and Groupe ADP, launched in June 2025 to strengthen Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport’s position as an international hub while encouraging visitors to spend more time in France.
The Paris Stopover service is available to eligible Air France passengers travelling in all cabin classes, including Economy, Premium, Business and La Première. Packages can be booked through Extime Travel up to 48 hours before departure, subject to availability.
