Air France Becomes Official Carrier of French National Basketball Teams
Air France has entered into a partnership with the French Basketball Federation to serve as the official carrier of the French men’s and women’s national teams for their international competitions over the next two years.
Following its role as an official partner of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, this agreement reflects the airline’s continued commitment to supporting French athletes and representing France internationally.
With experience in transporting sports delegations and equipment, Air France will provide travel support for “Les Bleu(e)s”. The French men’s national team has already flown with Air France ahead of its EuroBasket match in Poland on August 28.
Fabien Pelous, Air France Chief Customer Experience Officer, said: “Following our involvement in the Paris 2024 Games, we are pleased to accompany the French national basketball team over the next two years. Supporting athletes on the international stage is in line with our role of showcasing France around the world.”

Jean-Pierre Hunckler, President of the French Basketball Federation, added: “I welcome Air France as the official carrier of our French national basketball teams. With the airline’s services and professionalism, our players will be able to travel in suitable conditions to represent France worldwide.”
Upcoming Competitions
The French men’s national team will compete in the 42nd edition of EuroBasket, held from August 27 to September 14, 2025, in Latvia, Cyprus, Finland, and Poland.
The French women’s national team will participate in the Basketball World Cup in Germany from September 4 to 13, 2026.
As part of this agreement, Air France will offer long-haul passengers access to video programs produced by the French Basketball Federation. Content will include behind-the-scenes coverage, training features, player profiles, and match highlights.
