flydubai Restarts Dubai–Budapest Service from 31 July

flydubai has announced the resumption of direct flights between Dubai International Airport (DXB) and Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport (BUD) from 31 July, restoring non-stop connectivity between the UAE and Hungary.

The service will initially operate three times a week on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, before increasing to daily flights from 25 October 2026.

The route is expected to serve leisure travellers, business passengers and those visiting friends and relatives, while providing connections through Dubai to flydubai’s network of more than 120 destinations.

Jeyhun Efendi, Divisional Senior Vice President of Commercial Operations and E-commerce at flydubai, said the resumed service will create additional travel opportunities ahead of the autumn and winter travel season. He added that passengers will also benefit from seamless connections through the airline’s codeshare partnership with Emirates.

From Budapest, travellers will have access to Dubai as well as onward destinations across the Middle East, Africa, Asia and Southeast Asia, including Kenya, the Maldives, Oman, Sri Lanka and Thailand.

The Budapest route follows flydubai’s recent network additions, including Aleppo, Bangkok and Benghazi. The airline is also scheduled to launch flights to Pokhara, Nepal, from 23 September.

The route will be operated using flydubai’s Boeing 737 aircraft.

Business Class offers lie-flat seats, premium dining and personalised service, while Economy Class features ergonomically designed seating, onboard meals and refreshments. Passengers also have access to inflight entertainment through seatback HD touchscreens.
