Alaska Airlines Launches Seasonal Portland–Steamboat Springs Service

Alaska Airlines will introduce a new seasonal non-stop service between Portland International Airport (PDX) and Yampa Valley Regional Airport (HDN), providing travellers with direct access to Steamboat Springs, Colorado, during the winter season.

The new route will operate twice a week on Thursdays and Saturdays from 11 February to 28 March 2027, catering to travellers heading to the Colorado destination for skiing, outdoor activities and winter holidays.

Ski and Snowboard Equipment Policy

Passengers travelling with ski or snowboard equipment can check their gear under Alaska Airlines’ standard baggage policy.

Equipment may exceed 62 inches (linear dimensions) up to a maximum of 115 inches without an oversize baggage fee. Items weighing up to 50 pounds are subject to the standard checked baggage charge, which starts at US$35 for the first checked bag.

The following items are accepted as one checked bag:
