The Cocoon Collection Promotes Madura Arundaka Liyanaguruge as Bar Manager

Cocoon Collection has promoted Madura Arundaka Liyanaguruge to Bar Manager at Joy Island Maldives, effective July 2026. In this role, he will oversee bar operations, beverage service, and team management at the property.

Liyanaguruge has been associated with Cocoon Collection since 2025, when he joined as Assistant Bar Manager. His promotion follows his contribution to bar operations and guest service within the organisation.

Prior to joining Cocoon Collection, he served as Assistant Beverage Manager at Villa Haven, Maldives. He has also held the position of Bar Supervisor at Raffles Maldives Meradhoo and with Six Senses Hotels Resorts Spas in both the Maldives and Israel.

Earlier in his career, he worked as a Bartender with One&Only Reethi Rah and Six Senses Hotels Resorts Spas, and began his hospitality journey at Kanhura in the Maldives.

With experience in food and beverage operations, Liyanaguruge has developed capabilities in bar management, beverage service, and team supervision.

In his current role, he will be responsible for managing bar operations and supporting service delivery at the resort.
