Accor and Sun Group Expand Hospitality Partnership

Accor to Add Nearly 6,000 Rooms with Sun Group in Vietnam

Sun Group and Accor have expanded their long-standing partnership with plans to develop nearly 6,000 hotel rooms and serviced apartments across Phu Quoc and Da Nang in Vietnam.

The agreement was signed in the presence of Sébastien Bazin, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Accor, and includes a portfolio of hotels, lifestyle brands and serviced apartments across multiple market segments.

New Hotels Across Vietnam

Under the agreement, Accor will manage properties under the SO/, MGallery, Grand Mercure, TRIBE, and ibis Styles brands at the Bai Dat Do mixed-use development and Hon Thom Island in Phu Quoc.

In Da Nang, Accor will operate Sofitel, Swissôtel and MGallery properties at the DIFF Fireworks Festival & Commercial Complex and Ba Na Hills.

The partnership will also introduce the SO/, Swissôtel and TRIBE brands to Vietnam for the first time.

Supporting Tourism Growth

The developments in Phu Quoc will form part of Sun Group’s wider tourism, entertainment and infrastructure projects on the island.

Bai Dat Do is being developed as a beachfront urban district, while Hon Thom Island is planned as a resort and entertainment destination. The expansion will also support the island’s accommodation capacity ahead of APEC 2027.

In Da Nang, the new hotels will be integrated into mixed-use developments that combine hospitality, retail, and entertainment.

Sébastien Bazin, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Accor, said:

“Our partnership with Sun Group reflects our long-term collaboration in Vietnam. We remain focused on expanding our network in destinations where travellers can experience the country’s culture and natural landscapes.”

The hotel group currently operates 45 hotels in Vietnam, making it one of the company’s largest markets in Asia. The expanded partnership with Sun Group will further strengthen its presence across key tourism destinations in the country.
