Thailand is preparing to host the 2026 Annual Meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank Group (WBG) from 12 to 18 October 2026 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center in Bangkok. The countdown marks a major milestone as the country reinforces its position as a leading destination for international meetings, business travel and cultural exchange.

Thailand Returns to the Global Stage After 35 Years
The country will host the IMF-World Bank Annual Meetings for the second time, following the 1991 edition in Bangkok. Held every October, the meetings take place at the IMF and World Bank headquarters in Washington, D.C. for two consecutive years before rotating to a selected member country every third year.
