Mews Selected as Preferred Property Management System for Ontario Resort Members
Mews has been named the preferred property management system (PMS) supplier for Resorts of Ontario, becoming the only PMS provider to receive preferred supplier status from the association.
The partnership gives more than 100 member resorts, lodges, cottages and country inns access to Mews’ cloud-native hospitality platform to modernise operations and improve guest experiences.
Supporting Ontario’s Independent Resort Sector
Established in 1942, Resorts of Ontario represents independent hospitality businesses across the province, including spa retreats, family resorts, adventure lodges and country inns.
Through the partnership, member properties can adopt a single cloud-based operating system that automates reservations, payments and reporting, reducing manual tasks and allowing staff to spend more time serving guests.
Helping Resorts Modernise Operations
Mews provides an integrated property management platform designed to simplify daily hotel operations without requiring a complex IT overhaul.
The system enables hospitality businesses to streamline workflows, improve operational efficiency and deliver a more seamless guest experience while reducing administrative workloads.
“Independent resorts are one of the most underserved segments in hospitality technology, and Ontario has some of the best in the world,” said Michael Coscetta, President, Mews. “These are operators who have built their businesses on genuine hospitality, the kind that gets passed down through generations. With the right technology behind them, they can spend less time managing systems and more time delivering the experiences that keep guests coming back.”
Historic Elmhirst’s Resort, a Resorts of Ontario member since 1956, is already using the Mews platform. The resort noted that automating reservations, payment processing and guest packages has reduced operational complexity and allowed staff to dedicate more time to guest service.
Expanding Hospitality Technology for Independent Resorts
Mews said independent resorts remain one of the most underserved segments in hospitality technology despite their strong focus on personalised guest experiences.
The company believes the partnership will help Ontario’s independent resorts modernise their operations, improve efficiency and continue delivering high-quality hospitality while reducing reliance on legacy property management systems.
