Mandarin Oriental Punta Negra Mallorca Welcomes First Guests

Punta Negra Resort Brings New Hospitality Experience to Mallorca
Mandarin Oriental has opened Mandarin Oriental Punta Negra, Mallorca, welcoming its first guests to the island’s southwest coastline in Calvià. Located near Puerto Portals, the resort marks the group’s third property in Spain, following its hotels in Barcelona and Madrid.
The resort occupies the former Hotel Punta Negra site, surrounded by pine trees, secluded coves and views of the Mediterranean. The redevelopment preserves elements of the location’s heritage while introducing a contemporary design that reflects Mallorca’s natural surroundings and culture.

Spread across landscaped gardens and coastal terrain, Mandarin Oriental Punta Negra, Mallorca features 131 rooms and suites, several dining venues, wellness facilities and a range of leisure experiences designed to connect guests with the destination.
Guests can arrive via a private yacht transfer service and explore experiences such as coastal yoga sessions, tennis facilities, cycling routes, golf courses, and an art pathway featuring galleries and site-specific installations.

The resort’s dining programme highlights Spanish and Mediterranean influences, alongside international cuisine. Several restaurants are led by recognised chefs, offering a variety of culinary experiences inspired by local ingredients and traditions.
Wellness is central to the resort experience, with a spa that blends Mediterranean influences and Oriental wellness philosophies. Treatments and programmes are designed to support relaxation, balance and wellbeing.

To mark the opening, the resort has introduced its “Be the First to Stay” package. Starting from EUR 1,500 per night for two guests, the offer includes two nights’ accommodation, a welcome cocktail, a locally inspired gift, daily breakfast and a daily credit for dining or spa experiences.
Mandarin Oriental Punta Negra, Mallorca, is the group’s first resort in the Balearic Islands. The property spans five buildings inspired by the island’s history and landscape, offering accommodation with sea views and direct connections to the surrounding natural environment.
The opening further expands Mandarin Oriental’s presence in Spain and adds a new hospitality option for travellers visiting Mallorca.
