Etihad Launches Kraków and Palma de Mallorca Services
Etihad Network Growth Strengthens Connections Between Europe and Abu Dhabi
Etihad Airways has launched two new European routes, introducing direct services to Kraków in Poland and Palma de Mallorca in Spain. The new routes form part of the airline’s continued network expansion and provide additional connectivity between Europe and Abu Dhabi.
The new services further strengthen Abu Dhabi’s position as a key gateway linking Europe with destinations across the Middle East, Asia, Africa, India and Australia.

Antonoaldo Neves, Chief Executive Officer of Etihad Airways, said the addition of Kraków and Palma de Mallorca reflects the airline’s continued focus on expanding its European network and creating more travel opportunities for leisure and business travellers.
He added that the new routes also make it easier for passengers to visit Abu Dhabi or take advantage of the airline’s stopover programme while travelling through the UAE capital.
Kraków Joins Etihad’s Growing Poland Network
Kraków becomes Etihad’s second destination in Poland following the launch of Warsaw services in June 2025.
The new route provides travellers from southern Poland with direct access to Abu Dhabi and onward connections across Etihad’s international network. The service is operated by the Airbus A321LR, featuring First, Business and Economy cabins.
Known for its historic architecture, cultural attractions, and UNESCO-listed Old Town, Kraków is one of Central Europe’s most visited cities and an important destination for tourism and business.
Palma de Mallorca Gains Direct Abu Dhabi Connection
Etihad commenced flights to Palma de Mallorca on 12 June 2026, introducing a direct link between the Balearic Islands and Abu Dhabi.
The route offers travellers convenient access to Mallorca and the wider Balearic Islands, including Ibiza, while also providing onward connections through Abu Dhabi to destinations across Etihad’s network.
Palma de Mallorca combines historic landmarks, coastal landscapes and cultural attractions, making it a popular destination for international visitors throughout the year.
Airbus A321LR Enhances Passenger Experience
Both routes are operated using the Airbus A321LR, which features two private First suites, 14 lie-flat Business Class seats and 144 Economy Class seats.
Passengers across all cabins benefit from in-flight entertainment, Wi-Fi connectivity and modern cabin interiors designed for medium and long-haul travel.
The introduction of Kraków and Palma de Mallorca further expands Etihad’s European footprint while offering travellers additional options when connecting through Abu Dhabi.
